Ambient Photography's 2018 Year in review

Happy New Year to you my loyal clients... I love putting together a year in review on New Year's Day. It allows for me to see what Ambient Photography has all accomplished this last year, it shows the growth that has occurred, the new and exciting experience that I have endured, friends that have been made along the way, as well as, the progression in my skills. Each year I set 30 day, 90 day and year goals. I am proud to say that I have accomplished the meeting of all my 2018 goals. I was able to attend all the continuing education that I set forth to do, got to have couple wonderful conversations throughout the year with the man that I so look up to in the industry, met new friends in the business that I continue to network with, and completely revamped my business framework for 2019 to better serve you! The biggest accomplishment that hit home for me 2018 was when I got a personal pat on the back from the industries leading photographer and educator.... Sal Cincotta. I was blessed to have been able to share a seat with him during a bus ride from a shooting location. That 40 minutes of conversation was like a million dollar educational experience to me. One of my goals this year was to submit some of my images to Shutter Magazine. For those who do not know.. Shutter Magazine is one of the industries top photography magazine. Sal is the CEO of this amazing photography magazine. He is personally involved with day to day operations as well as choosing what photos are published in Shutter Magazine. As our conversation flowed, I did a lot of listening and figuring out how I could incorporate his knowledge and advice to me into Ambient Photography. During our visit he asked to see my website and social media pages. Like anyone would have been... I was reluctant to show him. But, with confidence and he gave me no choice (LOL) I let him preview my work. Little did he know who I was until he saw that I was published several times in his magazine. I will forever remember the look on his face when he pointed out my work and said " This your work? I remember these" ' Girl, Keep up the F...... Good work. You are going places. You have to have talent to get published in my Magazine" with that connection by simply sitting down next to each other and carrying on a conversation further strengthen who I am professionally. Granted there will always be people that are negative and not always agree with my thoughts or my work. But, to have had this experience is worth the world to me!!!

Looking back for accomplishments for 2018:

Record Session year here at Ambient, Added studio 110 shooting location, Added consultation studio in Kewaunee, completed student job fair at Kewaunee High School, continue to volunteer for Kewaunee School district events, attended education in Las Vegas, Chicago, St. Louis,  Student ambassador program had record breaking numbers, published in Shutter Magazine and co-taught photography classes in the Green Bay area!

What a Year... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Can not be said enough for your continued support!
